When I was finishing my last papers for school, I was always looking for inspiration. One of my favorites authors these days is Jennifer Groff, from the MIT Media Lab. She is a very prolific author in the field of education, learning experience design, and gamification. She has developed several frameworks that help us better understand education systems and integrate innovation in schools. For example, one of my most-liked frameworks is the Individualized Inventory for Integrating Instructional Innovations (i5), which helps teachers to integrate technology-based projects in the classroom and identify potential barriers and solutions.
One of my final papers for school examined the different learning analytics and educational data mining approaches. Her dissertation is connected to this effort since she explores the use of Systems Engineering as a means to reengineering this critical pillar of the system by using unified data structures for modeling learning constructs. This has been a huge learning effort and invite you to listen to her dissertation at the MIT Media Lab.
It's so inspiring!
